Table Tennis England update 13th October

According to the Department of Health and Social Care Rugby and Warwickshire are currently at Level 1 – medium.

Following the implementation of the Government’s tiered system, TTE has outlined the implications of these for playing table tennis on the TTE website.   Please note that the interpretation of these new guidelines may still change, particularly for over-18s playing at tier 2, so please check this guidance regularly over the next few days, as we start to gain further clarity from the Government.

Currently table tennis sessions organised in line with TTE ready to return guidance, can continue to operate with the continued application of the bubble of six rule. Further to this, more than six people would be allowed in the hall at any one time, but it is absolutely crucial that the bubble of six rule is observed. It is important however that once someone has finished their table tennis session that they leave the playing facility and avoid socialising.

Furthermore, they have said that individuals must also avoid attending amateur and semi-professional sporting events as spectators.
