Club Sessions - Important notice
The positive lateral flow test taken yesterday by a player at the Club session on Sunday, has been confirmed by a PCR test. This means that we now have to cancel not only this evening's session, but also Sunday and Tuesday next week. Anyone who had booked for those sessions will have already had an email explaining how we will carry forward those bookings.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment that cancelling the sessions will cause, but we have to follow the correct protocols in this situation.
Further updates will be posted here on the website once we have more information. If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Important notice from Table Tennis England
Table Tennis England have recently updated all of the policies, procedures and guidelines on the website: https://tabletennisengland.co.uk/our-sport/safeguarding/ and would urge you to familiarise yourself with these.
Sunday coaching sessions
At Rugby Table Tennis Club we have enjoyed getting back to playing table tennis from 17th May and are fortunate to have a supportive facility in Hill Street. However, we realise that not all clubs in the area have been able to return to play so easily.
With this in mind, the Rugby TTC committee has decided to open a few places at our training sessions on Sundays to non-members, but all places must be pre-booked via our website and each 1 hour 10 minute slot (10am -11.10am and 11.20am a-12.30pm) will cost £6. Places are strictly limited and all players will be expected to join in the members’ coaching groups run by Adrian Pilgrim, following our Covid19 protocol and arrive no later than 5 minutes before the start of the session.
Our plans will be under constant review and it may be that we can only offer this for a short time if our club sessions return to normal membership arrangements. For those familiar with our club, Tuesday evening sessions will remain “member only” sessions for those players at Rugby before the Covid19 restrictions. Our Sunday sessions are available to book on our Club Sessions page. All players will need to give contact details for track and trace purposes.
Any queries should be sent to email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Please pass this information on to players in your club or league if you think they might like to join our sessions.
Return to Play
All places for the 70 minute coaching sessions must be pre-booked via the website with arrival no later than 5 minutes before the start of your session. The sessions will follow the same format and Table Tennis England covid guidelines as in Autumn last year.
Booking for the two Sunday morning sessions from 30th May is now open on the website. All places are strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
We will constantly review the situation regarding club sessions and hope to be able to return to an arrangement closer to our usual memberships when we are able.
Bat and Chat
Adrian's popular Wednesday morning Bat and Chat Sessions resume at 9.30 on 2nd June! It doesn't matter if you've never picked up a bat before or if you already play, everybody is really welcome. Details here.
